Extraordinary challenges require extraordinary tools to address these. The equipment range that Mammoet offers includes the world's biggest cranes and the largest fleet of self-propelled modular transporters (SPMT) with state-of-the-art computer control systems. Besides this, Mammoet operates skidding systems and strand jack systems to lift, lower or slide outsized loads, fully computerized ballasting systems for barges, and weighing systems for determining the mass and/or the center of gravity of structures.
Conventional trailers, cranes of almost any capacity (hydraulic, telescopic, crawler, ring, floating), jacking systems and special equipment to secure loads during transports complete this fleet. Mammoet regularly operates specialized vessels and barges, mostly fitted with ramps to roll on/roll off cargo. In addition, Mammoet's Engineering Department designs and develops special items that are required for the realization of specific tailor-made solutions. These range from handling devices, support frames, steel structures to reinforce existing buildings before transport to simulation models.
