History
Mammoet entered the Russian market in 1992. The Moscow branch office was opened in1996 and was extended with its own fleet of cranes and transport equipment in 1998.
Initially, Mammoet RUS focused on the local rental market. Projects such as the reconstruction of the roof of the Olympic stadium in Luzhniki and exceptional transports with ODC dimensions throughout Russian territory from West to South, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.
A definite breakthrough came in 2000, when the Russian operations became part of the worldwide Mammoet group. Projects in this period included the recovery of the Kursk submarine, heavy lifting operations in the Kirishi refinery (reactors up to 1000 tons) and RoRo transport of offshore modules up to 10,000 in yards such as Lukoil Kalingrad.
Now, in 2012, we are proud to announce that we have extended our local Russian fleet with a 700 ton telescopic crane, 600 ton crawler cranes and conventional axle lines with a capacity of 600 tons. Our team of engineers can prepare PPRK documents needed for Rostechnadzor certification, and our projects are supervised by Russian-speaking project managers who are fully familiar with local regulations.
